41 Schultz, J.W. My Life as an Indian. The Story of a Red Woman and a White Man in the Lodges of the Blackfeet
Boston & New York Houghton Mifflin 1914 Later Printing. Hardcover Very Good Plus No Jacket
Boston & New York: Houghton Mifflin, 1914. James Willard Schultz (1859-1947), known also as "Apikuni" (Spotted Robe) was a professional guide - his trip with George Bird Grinnell in 1885 eventually led to the establishment of Glacier National Park in 1910. Aside from his busy outdoor life, Schultz managed to write 37 books! This is a Very Good Plus to Near Fine copy of a Later Printing of this famous and classic book; the work originally appeared as a serial in "Forest and Stream" magazine, and was first issued in 1907; it has been reprinted several times by different publishers. Illustrated with photographs by George Bird Grinnell. Decorative orange cloth binding, with an image of an animal skin and pictographs. Clean text; 426 pages. Boston Ticknor & Fields 1856 First Edition. Hardcover Very Good Plus
Boston: Ticknor & Fields, 1856. Initially issued anonymously as a political biography for Fremont's run at the presidency. This copy lists Upham as the author, but Fremont was a collaborator. 51 Warner, Charles Dudley Our Italy
New York Harper & Bros 1892 Later Printing. Hardcover Very Good Plus No Jacket
New York: Harper & Bros, 1892. Despite the title, this book is a wide-ranging group of essays about California (there is no doubt of the similarities between the two Mediterranean climates).
