Originally published by Shocken in 1948, this is the reissue containing 30 drawings by Ben Shahn (1898-1969), often mis-characterized as a "social realist" artist due to the notoriety surrounding his political illustrations of the Sacco-Vanzetti trial. A Near Fine copy. Light green cloth binding with dark brown lettering. The text is fresh and bright. Bumped corners, else Fine. The dustjacket is unclipped, with chipping and a closed tear on the spine. In an archival plastic protector. Popular in its time, this is a surprisingly uncommon book today.
