New York: International Publishers, 1932. Antanas Bimba (1894-1982), a Socialist/Marxist writer, was the subject of a notorious (at least to civil libertarians) prosecution for sedition, and, astonishingly, "blasphemy." in 1926. His view of the strife in the coal fields takes a decided turn toward that of the working class. Whatever his personal views and/or biases, this is an important work on American labor history. This is a Near Fine copy of the First Edition, scarce with its dustjacket. Maroon cloth binding with gilt lettering on the spine. Clean text; 144 pages, indexed. Slight hint of a slant, and a small scuff on the rear panel. There is a stamp on the Title Page from "The John R. Hall Corporation." The green dustjacket is complete and uncut, showing minor shelfware and soiling. In an archival plastic protector. Size: 12mo - over 6" - 7" tall. First Edition.. Hard Cover. Near Fine/Very Good. Dust jacket present. First Edition.
