London: Milner & Company, 1884. This is an interesting anonymous anti-Irish screed apparently issued in response to the Phoenix Park murders, ".deeds of unparalleled cruelty to man and unoffending beast.the most bloodthirsty of any on record in any nation on the face of the earth." Perhaps a bit of hyperbole, that. Copies held at major libraries of the British Isles, but uncommon in the Trade. No publication date, but generally recognized by bibliographers as 1884. A Very Good (Minus) copy. Deep red ribbed decorative cloth, with the title in gilt on the front cover and spine. Clean text - a small text in double columns; 304 pages. The corners are bumped and the spine is a bit faded. Unfortunately, both gutters have split, leaving it weak, and the FFEP is loose but present. There is a half-inch tear on the top of the Title Page. Please note the condition issues; Quercus must offer this as a Binding Copy, in need of repair or restoration. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. First Edition.. Decorative Cloth. Very Good Minus/No Jacket. First Edition.
