London & Halifax: Milner and Company, 1884. An interesting, anonymous anti-Irish screed apparently issued in response to the Phoenix Park murders, ".deeds of unparalleled cruelty to man and unoffending beast.the most bloodthirsty of any on record in any nation on the face of the earth." Perhaps a bit of hyperbole, that. Copies held at the major libraries of the British Isles, but uncommon in the Trade. No publication date, but generally recognized by bibliographers as 1884. This is a Very Good copy in a variant brown cloth binding. Heavily stamped with an unfilled decorative design; spinet lettering is gilt. Clean text - a small text in double columns; 304 pages. Corners are bumped and the edges are dusty; cracked but holding well at the Title Page. A generally sound and attractive copy; important as an example of the political fervor surrounding Irish issues at this time. Size: 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall. First Edition.. Cloth. Very Good/No Jacket. First Edition.
