New York: P. O'Shea, 1883. A collection of poems by an American Catholic author who wrote under the pen-name "Marie." This is a scarce title. It is not in WorldCat and the First Edition (1877) that the LOC has is an electronic version. A Very Good copy of the Fourth Edition, with a long, full-page inscription by the author, followed by a gift inscription dated two days later; both were written in San Francisco. Redish-brown cloth binding, ruled, with gilt title on the front cover; mildly rubbed at the margins. Clean text; 532 pages, with a two-page list of subscribers. The book must have been popular if it went to four editions; its scarcity is a bit of a puzzle. Size: 8vo - over 7" - 9" tall. Inscribed By Author. Fourth Edition.. Hard Cover. Very Good/No Jacket.
