New York: Dodd, Mead & Company, 1934. (Sir Basil Henry) Liddell Hart (1895-1970) served and was wounded and gassed during World War One; after, he became a military historian and theorist. His theories had an influence on both the Wermacht and the Israeli Defense Forces. He wrote several biographies, including this one of T.E. Lawrence ("of Arabia"), which is certainly much better than the popular work by Llowel Thomas.
