(In an irrelevant aside, It seems rather odd that six years after his death, his name was not on the Title Page.) Large octavo; publisher's brown cloth binding, ruled, and blindstamped with a wreath (a memorial?) on the front cover. The spine title is bright gilt. Clean text, very bright an supple still; 559 pages, with Scott's 83-page Introduction. Previous (contemporary) owner signature on the title page.Some minor bumping Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
