The fifth book written by the Marxist literary critic Granville Hicks (1901-1982) is a surprisingly even-handed biography of Reed (1887-1920), the famous reporter of the Russian Revolution. Hicks moved away from supporting the Communist Party in 1939. This is a Very Good copy of the First Edition. Gray cloth binding with gilt on maroon label and lettering.
