Originally published in 1843, this is a Very Good Plus to Near Fine copy of a Later American Printing. Large, sturdy octavo in brown pebbled cloth, ruled on the front and rear covers, with gilt lettering on the spine. Clean text, nicely bright; 600 pages, indexed. Contemporary (dated 1869, at Harvard) signature on the third free endpaper. There are a few penciled notations scattered throughout, but particularly in the section dealing with the chain of reason.
