London: Unicorn Press, 1898. William Thomas Horton (1864-1919), whose drawings and illustrations closely resemble those of Beardsley, was a close friend of Yeats, sharing an affection for mysticism and the occult. This is a Very Good (Minus) copy of the First Edition, a Library copy rebound in tan buckram. Sixty-one pages. The treatments include a label on the front paste-down, removed pocket on rear free endpaper, an (archival) tape repair to page 41, and three pages with a perforated chop. While the book is a sound copy of a scarce volume, Quercus would suggest this as a Binding Copy, deserving a much more attractive setting. Size: 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall. First Edition.. Hard Cover. Very Good Minus/No Jacket. First Edition.
