London: Macmillan and Co., Limited, 1902. Scottish author Samuel Rutherford Crockett (1859-1914) was a prolific producer of romantic novels, often set in Scotland. This is a Very Good (Minus) copy of the First Edition. Rather uncommon. Dark green cloth binding, decoratively stamped on the front cover; gilt lettering on the spine. Clean text; 511 pages, with fourteen pages of publisher's adverts in the rear (Notable because the ads also feature drawings of the authors); top-edge is gilt. Rather worn at the margins, and both hinges are cracked but holding. Previous-owner signature on the FFEP. The front paste-down has a label from "W.H. Smith's Subscription Library.". First Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good (Minus)/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. First Edition.
