"The Avatars" is a later and rather uncommon work of his, a sort of mystical socialist fantasy set in a future Ireland. It is dedicated to W.B. Yeats, with whom he shared a fascination with spirituality. This is a Near Fine copy of the First Edition. Dark blue cloth binding, ruled on the front cover, with gilt titling on the cover and spine. Clean text; vii, 188 pages, with a list of Russell's works available in the rear. Bookplate on front paste-down; signature on the FFEP. A very fresh copy, lacking the dustwrapper.
