Smooth calf binding; five raised bands on the spine; red label with gilt lettering ("Gough's History"). Clean text; 171 pages, indexed. Contemporary (1815) gift inscription on the Title Page. The text is very clear and supple; some tanning to the page ends and endpapers but unfoxed.
