New York & Chicago A.L. Burt Company 1930 Reprint Edition Hardcover Near Fine Very Good 
New York & Chicago: A.L. Burt Company, 1930. The third novel by the author of "Little Caesar," made famous by the gangster movie version. This is set in Tombstone, Arizona in the 1880's and was also made into several movie versions. First published by Dial in 1930. This is a Near Fine copy of the reprint by Burt from the same year. Both are scarce. Bright orange cloth binding with black lettering on the spine. Clean text; 305 pages, with four pages of publisher's adverts in the rear. Some light bumping to the bottom edges, else a Fine copy. The iconic dustjacket, by Edna Reindel, is not clipped.. There are more publisher adverts for "Popular Copyright Fiction" on the reverse of the jacket. It shows some edgewear, and the spine is slightly darkened. In an archival plastic protector.. Reprint Edition. Hard Cover. Near Fine/Very Good. 12mo - over 6" - 7" tall. Dust jacket present.

New York: Alfred A. Knopf, 1949. American novelist William Riley Burnett (1889-1982) is generally regarded as "hard-boiled." A prolific screenwriter himself, many of his novels were adapted (sometimes by himself) into classic movies. "Asphalt Jungle" became one of the most prominent. This is a Very Good (Plus) to Near Fine copy of the First Edition (stated). Decorative paper-covered boards/spine in white, violet, and black. Extremely attractive! Clean twxt; 271 pages. The dustjacket is Very Good (Plus). Unclipped, showing minor edgewear, but with two chips at the head of the spine. In an archival plastic protector. Size: 12mo - over 6" - 7" tall. First Edition..
