New York & London: The Century Company, 1931. (Brian Oswald) Donn Byrne (1889-1928) was born in America, but grew up in Ireland and was a native speaker. He was prolific, and his romantic novels became quite popular before his premature death in an automobile accident. This is a Very Good copy of Byrne's first book, originally published in 1915. Brick red cloth binding, stamped and filled with black. Clean text; 309 pages. Armorial bookplate on front paste-sown. Mildly bumped, and a small area of discoloration on the rear cover. Lacking the dustjacket. Size: 8vo - over 7" - 9" tall. Reprint.. Hard Cover. Very Good/No Jacket.

New York & London: The Century Co., 1930. Byrne's publisher calls him "The Last of the Traditional Irish Novelists." However, this short novel is set in the modern world of the international set. A posthumous publ;ication, although Byrne had written it several years prior to his death. This is a Near Fine copy of the First Edition (stated first printing). Brick-red cloth binding, ruled and titled in black on the front cover; the spine is titled in black and has five embossed panels. Clean text; 212 pages.
