Boston Little, Brown 1928 First American Edition Hard Cover Near Fine Very Good Plus Henry Pitz
Irish-American author Donn Byrne (1889-1928) was both prolific and popular until his untimely death in an auto accident. This is his last work, an historical romp. A Near Fine copy of the First American Edition. Green cloth binding with black and red lettering and decorations; illustrated endpapers by Henry Pitz. A period calling-card has been used as a bookplate on the FFEP. The wonderfully illustrated dustjacket (also by Pitz) is unclipped; light soiling and a small chip to the bottom of the front panel; there is a long closed tear to the rear flap. Still, a very attractive copy and a great read. In an archival plastic protector.

Donn Byrne (1889-1928) was born in America, but grew up and later returned to Ireland. His romantic novels became quite popular. "Crusade" was his last novel before death in an auto accident. This is a Near Fine copy of First English Edition. 240 pages, with 8 pages of publisher's adverts in the rear. Black cloth binding with blindstamping and gilt lettering on the spine, which is very slightly faded. Clean text; endpapers show mild offset. No dustwrapper; in an archival plastic protector.

A popular romantic novel of Ireland, famous in its day (usually found in poor condition). This is an unusually Fine copy of the First Edition. Reddish-brown cloth binding with black lettering. Clean and fresh text; contemporary ink inscription on FFEP. The illustrated DJ is in Near Fine condition, with just the slightest hints of wear and a tape repair to the inside of the spine. In an archival plastic protector.
