Joseph (Francis) Dinneen (1897-1964) was a journalist at the Boston "Globe" newspaper, as was his namesake son. This is his account of the rough-and-tumble world of Irish-American politics in Boston. Although held by most public institutions, it is now rather scarce on the market. This is a Very Good copy of the First Edition. Tan boards with green and black lettering. Surface soil and mild bumps. Clean text. The front endpapers are starting but holding, so the cover is a bit loose.
